“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?”
In the Gertrude and Toby series, I am starting to like Toby the best. There is something about him that makes me smile.
In fact, I just named myself president of the Toby Fan Club. I see t-shirts, buttons, and conventions. Let me know if you want to join?
Just don’t tell Shari or Jim.
Gertrude and Toby are at it again. This time the adventure takes place on a Saturday. Why Saturday? Well, you’re just going to have to read this great book from Shari Tharp and wonderful artwork by Jim Heath.
In this adventure, you’ll meet the wicked witch, Hansel, Gretel, a flying carpet, a really, really big man who lives on top of a very large vine, and of course, our happy gingerbread man.
It’s a great story that’s going to keep you on the edge of your seat wondering how the gingerbread man is going to be rescued from the really big man. Hope you enjoy reading about Gertrude and Toby’s adventures as much as I do.
P.S. I found out this week that a tortoise is in the turtle family. So, it’s ok to call Toby a turtle, plus it’s easier to spell!
